　ポストパンク / ニューウェイヴの過渡期にあたる1978年に英カーディフから現れ、短い活動期間にもかかわらず後世に絶大なる影響を及ぼした至宝YOUNG MARBLE GIANTS（Philip Moxham + Stuart Moxham + Alison Statton）。その唯一のフル・アルバム『Colossal Youth』が1980年に「Rough Trade」より発売されてから、今年で40年。これを記念した同作のアニヴァーサリー・パッケージ『Colossal Youth 40th Anniversary Edition』が、11月27日（金）に「Domino」からCDとヴァイナルの2フォーマットで発売されます。

　CDは、過去にDominoから『Colossal Youth & Collected Works』のタイトルで発売されていたCDと同様、『Colossal Youth』とEP『Final Day』（1980, Rough Trade）、『Testcard E.P.』（1981, Rough Trade）、デモ編集盤『Salad Days』（2000, Vinyl Japan）、『Is The War Over?』コンピレーション（1979, Z Block Records）収録曲を2CDに収めたコンプリート版（『The Peel Sessions』は未収録）。限定のクリア・ヴァイナルと通常のブラック・ヴァイナルが発売される2LPには、『Colossal Youth』全編および他タイトルからの抜粋で構成。いずれも、40周年エディションの目玉として、1980年に米NYのクラブ「Hurrah」で行ったライヴ・パフォーマンスの貴重な映像を収めたDVDが同梱されます。発売に先駆け、同DVDから「Final Day」演奏中の模様が公開中。
